Yilkins, a global leader in circular technologies, was looking for help in convincingly communicating their brand story and value proposition, all in a new and modern guise that would radiate reliability, authority and innovation.

With, among other things, their self-developed torrefaction technology, which converts organic residues (biomass) into valuable products as efficiently and safely as possible, Yilkins supports companies in making complete business processes circular: towards a net-zero business strategy.

The challenge

Increasingly strict requirements and laws/regulations in the field of sustainability and circularity ensure that sustainability managers of large companies are faced with sustainability challenges. They have to look for alternative fuels to make their business processes more sustainable.

In order to present to its target group in a clear, professional and convincing manner that Yilkins is the party that can help with this, its unique proposition had to be translated into a sleek visual identity and a completely new website that appeals and converts.

Our solution

To achieve this, we proceeded in phases:

A strong brand story and clear value proposition: Together with our sister company Everybody Likes Penguins and Yilkins, we mapped out why the target group needs Yilkins as a partner using the StoryBrand Framework. This laid a strong foundation for the translation to a new website.

A new visual identity: The new visual identity was given a sleek, modern look by combining the use of a natural colour palette with additional technological accents.

A sleek, user-friendly and converting website:

    • The website was built using simple reusable templates and elements, making it easy to make changes yourself and thus Yilkins is not dependent on a web builder.
    • The UX was optimized, and the entire navigation structure was overhauled to improve the user experience.
    • Maintaining online visibility, fast loading speed and a good SEO base were also important. This was taken into account throughout the entire process.
    • The implementation of the new visual identity gives the website a modern, fresh and clean look, which contributes to the transparent, sustainable and trusted character of Yilkins.
    • The website was also made measurable, so that it is always clear how many website visitors land on the website, where they come from and how they convert.
